Lijiang: A village council in China's southwest Yunnan Province recently got over 500 of its houses painted with nine colours to attract more tourists to suffice its meagre income.

According to new agency Xinhua, the village hired a team to paint the houses with 3D colours to give a boost to local tourism and improve the income of villagers.

The Jinlong Village in Lijiang City of southwest China's Yunnan Province has since then attracted lots of visitors and become a major tourist destination.
