Khan Bani Saad (Iraq), Nov 22: Five Iraqis were killed and at least nine wounded early today when a car bomb hit a police station in the small town of Khan Bani Saad north of the capital, police said.
"Around 7.40 am (1010 IST), a car packed with
explosives went off in front of the police station. It was not
a suicide bombing,” said officer Hussein Jari.

Just minutes later, an explosion left a large crater
outside a police station in the town of Baquba, further to the
north.

There were fewer casualties in that blast but details
were not immediately available.
