Paris: rance called for the "immediate release of all those detained" in Burkina Faso Wednesday, after guards loyal to the west African country`s ousted leader took the interim president and prime minister hostage at the presidential palace.
"France is worried by the developments that have occurred in Burkina Faso" and "strongly condemns any use of force," foreign ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said in a statement.
