`The Patriot` actress Skye McCole Bartusiak dead at 21

Los Angeles: Skye McCole Bartusiak, who played Mel Gibson`s daughter in the 2000 hit movie, `The Patriot`, is dead. She was 21.According to reports the police found her dead in the garage apartment behind her home in Texas around 9 a.m. Saturday. The cause of death was not immediately determined and no foul play was suspected, police said adding that it was being treated as a natural causes death. The autopsy results were yet to come.

Actress Abigail Breslin, who is Bartusiak`s longtime friend, confirmed reports of the actress` death on her Twitter handle, reports a website. "One of my very good friends and someone who was like a sister to me, Skye McCole Bartusiak passed away today. So devastated," tweeted Breslin, know for her role in the `Little Miss Sunshine`. Skye was only seven years old when she starred along with Gibson in the historical war film. Her recent release includes `Sick Boy`.
