London: Transport systems the world over face the challenge of tackling commuters who love to travel without paying fares.
Penalties and short police custody are among the actions some of these systems take to punish regular offenders.
However, Transport for London (TfL) has found a novel way to 'punish' those who travel without ticket on the London Underground or London Tube (Metro).
The TfL has warned fare dodgers that those who travel without buying tickets risk having their plans to watch 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' spoiled.
The message seen on a service update board at the Canonbury London Overground Station on Friday read: "Attention. Anyone caught travelling without a valid ticker or Oyster (metro card) will be told the ending to the new Star Wars. (and also get a Penalty Fare)."
The message, which brought smiles on passengers faces, had everyone taking note!
