Tunis: A government official says
Tunisia`s Prime Minister is expected to announce the country`s
second interim government since the ouster of the former
dictator.
Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi, who served the
former Tunisian strongman Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, has been
trying to replace five ministers who resigned shortly after
his caretaker government was formed.
A government official says Ghannouchi is expected to
announce the new cabinet today. The official spoke
anonymously, since he was authorised to speak publicly about
the issue.
Protesters are demanding that the new government not
include members of the Ben Ali`s party.
Ben Ali was forced into exile on Jan 14, following
large-scale protests.
