Watch: 10-storey building 'bombed' in 10 seconds in US

Lawrence (Kansas): Controlled building demolitions are not uncommon in the West. However, every such demolition is spectacular watch.

In the latest such event, the largest residence hall on the University of Kansas' campus was brought down on Wednesday.

Authorities demolished the 10-storey, three-wing McCollum Hall to make way for parking.

It took just about 10 seconds for the 220,000 square foot building on Daisy Hill to come crashing down.
