Priyanka looked like a princess: Madhu Chopra

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas's big fat Indian wedding was an event to remember. Their wedding was a perfect blend of two different cultures as they took their wedding vows as per the Christian and Hindu rituals.

Madhu Chopra, who was over the moon to see her daughter tie the knot, spoke to DNA about how she felt after seeing Priyanka as a bride. "It was an emotional moment for everyone. I broke into tears when I saw Priyanka dressed as a bride. I had waited for this day all my life.” She was always keen that her daughter should have a proper Indian wedding. “We followed all the rituals to the T. There were no shortcuts. I wanted an Indian shaadi for her and Priyanka knew that. She fulfilled my wish. It’s lovely to see the amount of love people have for her and Nick,”

“I’m immensely proud of her. It’s majorly because she has done so well for herself and still continues to be so rooted. Woh dekhke mujhe yehi laga ki chahein woh kitna bhi West mein rahe, she will always be connected to our culture, " she went on to add.

Nickyanka' shared their wedding pics on social media, two days ago and they looked straight out of a fairytale! The Christain wedding had the bride looking stunning in a  Ralph Lauren gown with a 75-foot long veil while the groom looked dapper in a black tux. The Hindu wedding had Priyanka wear a custom red Sabyasachi ensemble while Nick looked regal in an gold sherwani by the same designer.

For the Delhi reception, Priyanka chose a peach lehenga while Nick wore a blue tux. PM Narendra Modi also attended the couple's Delhi reception and Pee Cee was overwhelmed by his presence.

After the Delhi reception, we are excited to see pics from the Mumbai reception which will have a lot of Bollywood celebs in attendance.
