New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has got another feather on his cap. The actor has accepted an offer by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to become the brand ambassador for its Open Defecation Free drive.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, 50-year-old Salman will help BMC in keeping the megapolis clean in tune with the Centre's Swachh Bharat campaign.
He has also pledged to donate five state-of-the-art mobile toilets for the campaign.
The 'Sultan' of Bollywood was happy to be a part of the civic body's drive through his 'Being Human Foundation' and was quoted as saying by HT, “In a mega-city like Mumbai, this looks really awkward to find people defecating in open. I will try my best to tell them to do away with this practice,”
On the professional front, the actor will next be seen in Kabir Khan's directorial historical war drama film 'Tubelight'.
