Soundarya Rajinikanth and husband Ashwin Ramkumar officially divorced

New Delhi: Megastar Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya is now officially divorced. A family court in Chennai passed an order of judicial separation, ending her marriage with industrialist husband Ashwin Ramkumar, reportedly.

According to Times of India.com, the divorce proceedings had been on for about seven long months and it has been on mutual consent. The couple tied the knot on September 3, 2010, at Rani Meyyammai Hall in Chennai. Soundarya has a son named Ved, who was born on May 6, 2015.

Soundarya, a graphic designer, and filmmaker had last year confirmed that she has separated from her industrialist husband and said divorce talks were on. She tweeted about the same.

They had moved the court in December last year seeking divorce by mutual consent citing differences of opinion between them.
