The actress even shared her look from the event on her Instagram account. "No #swag like #SariSwag !!! In @labeldebelle sari + crop and @stella.shoestolove shoes for #Zee5 press con & launch.. Styled by @dibzoo & HMU: @saracapela #iposeasinstructed [sic]," she wrote.

However, her fusion saree look failed to impress her fans. Within minutes, trolls began attacking the actress on social media for her 'saritorial' choice with comments like, "I get hurt everytime a saree goes through this kind of torture."

The trolls also commented saying, "Sorry. Bad fashion sense. Fire the stylist. That's the jailer outfit from sridevi sanjay dutt gumrah. Totally disaster !!! You are insulting Indian traditional wear, Saree !!! How can celebrities totally depending on their fashion designers."

The actor said she understands that while 'Jauhar' and 'Sati' were a part of India's social history but that certainly doesn't mean that one should make a film about it with no perspective or, without a comment on such a "misogynistic" practice.

A part her letter read, "You may be wondering why the hell I am going on and on thus about vaginas. Because Sir, that`s what I felt like at the end of your magnum opus. I felt like a vagina. I felt reduced to a vagina-only."

Soon after the letter went viral, Swara came under severe criticism from many celebrities for hold such views against the ace filmmaker. The actress was also trolled online for her harsh words against Bhansali. Later, she issued a statement saying that "she did not expect so much chaos over her letter just because it had mentions of a V-word."

On the professional front, Swara will be seen in Rhea Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding, which will release on June 1. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Shikha Talsania in key roles.
