Mahesh Babu Birthday special: Here are some of his best films

Popularly known as 'Prince', Mahesh Babu is one of the finest actors of the Telugu cinema. Born on 9th August 1974, Telugu cinema's talented Prince turned 42, today.

Let us wish him a very happy birthday and have a look at some of his best remembered movies:

1. Raja Kumarudu- Released in the year 1999 and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, Mahesh played the lead role of 'Raja' in the film. He won the Nandi Award for Best Male Debut for this movie.

2. Nijam- Released in the year 2003, the movie stars Mahesh Babu as G. Seetaram. Teja is the director of the film and Babu received Nandi Award for Best Actor again for the movie.

3. Pokiri- Babu plays the character of Krishna Manohar in the movie. Directed by Puri Jaganadh and released in the year 2006, this movie led Mahesh to win the Filmfare Award for Best Actor- Telugu. 

4. Dookudu- Babu's role of G. Ajay Kumar won him three awards- Nandi Award for Best Actor, Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and the SIIMA Award for Best Actor. The movie was released in the year 2011 with Srinu Vaitla as the director.

5. Srimanthudu- Mahesh Babu's role as Harshvardhan garnered a lot of praise in this film. He won three awards for the role which were the International Indian Film Academy Awards – Telugu for Best Actor,  Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and the SIIMA Award for Best Actor. The movie was released in the year 2015 and was directed by Koratala Siva.

Mahesh's fans are presently waiting for his upcoming movie, 'Spyder' which will be available in Tamil and Telugu languages. The teaser of 'Spyder' has left everyone thrilled.
