Mumbai: Tamil superstar Suriya took to Twitter Monday night on the occasion of filmmaker Selvaraghavan’s birthday to unveil the first poster of his upcoming film NGK.

In the poster, we can see a graffiti art reflecting Suriya’s image with prints of clenched fists at the bottom. Going by the first look poster, it looks likely that the film will have a political undertone as Suriya’s avatar reminds us of communist leader Che Guevara.

Suriya took to Twitter to post: “Dear all!  Need your love for #NGK Director @Selvaraghavan !! A very Happy birthday!!#NGKdiwali2018  #Suriya36 @Sai_Pallavi92 @Rakulpreet @thisisysr @prabhu_sr @RelianceEnt @DreamWarriorPic (sic).”

NGK will be Suriya’s 36th film and will have actresses Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi on board.

The action-thriller will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Sivakumar Vijayan and Arvind Krishna have been roped in for cinematography and editing for this movie respectively.

For the unversed, Suriya is the son of legendary actor Sivakumar. He is married to Tamil actress Jyothika.

Suriya had surpassed Bollywood heavyweights Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan by achieving a feat no other actor could, last year. The Singam of Southern cinema, Suriya won the ‘Golden tweet’ of 2017 in India for posting the second look for his Tamil film, Thaana Serndha Kootam which was retweeted over 70,000 times till December 5, reports suggest.

Suriya has an ocean of fan following and admirers across the globe. Here’s wishing him for NGK which is slated to release on Diwali this year in Tamil and Telugu languages.
