After PM Modi's congratulatory message, President Mukherjee hails ISRO for GSAT-18 launch
President Pranab Mukherjee congratulated ISRO for successfully launching the India's communication satellite GSAT-18.

New Delhi: The Indian Space Research and Organisation (ISRO) on Thusday successfully launched the India's communication satellite GSAT-18 on board Ariane-5 rocket from Kourou in French Guiana.
President Pranab Mukherjee took to micro blogging website Twitter and congratulated ISRO for the satellite launch. He also wished more success in the coming years.
He tweeted,''Hearty congratulations to ISRO on successful launch of communication satellite, GSAT-18''.

"My heartiest congratulations to you and the entire team at the Indian Space Research Organisation on India's latest communication satellite, GSAT-18, being successfully launched by Ariane 5 VA-231 launch vehicle from Kourou," Mukherjee said in his message to A.S. Kiran Kumar, Chairman of ISRO.
He further added, "I understand that GSAT-18 carries 48 communication transponders in C-band, upper extended C-band and Ku-band. It will provide telecommunications services for the country by strengthening ISRO's current fleet of 14 operational telecommunication satellites".
Mukherjee also greeted the scientists, engineers, technologists and all others comprising the team associated with the mission.
