New Delhi: BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla deposed before the Supreme Court appointed Justice (Retd) RM Lodha Commission on the possible reforms that the board is expected to carry out once the second part of report is released.
In fact, Thakur deposed to the committee in the morning on the possible recommendations on the reforms in BCCI.
"I met the Lodha commission today in the morning. Had a meeting with them for an hour. It was a very fruitful meeting is all I can say," Thakur said on the sidelines of South Africa's warm-up game against India A.
When asked if Lodha Committee's reforms will be binding on the BCCI, a smiling Thakur said, "Let's wait for the report to come out and then we can talk about it. In any case, we had already decided that the first part of the Lodha Committee recommendations will be applied in toto."
IPL chairman Shukla deposed before the committee in the afternoon.
Earlier in July, the Lodha Committee recommended two-year suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from the cash-rich Indian Premier League.
