New Delhi: Two new franchises of the Indian Premier League – Pune, Rajkot – are set to pick their respective players.
As the much-awaited draft is set to take place in Mumbai on December 15, here are five interesting things every IPL fan should know before the event takes place on Tuesday.

Pune and Rajkot will pick 10 players of their choice from suspended franchises Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
The entire event is set to start at 12:15 pm in Mumbai Cricket Association's clubhouse in the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

Pune franchise will get the chance to pick the first player because they emerged the lowest bidder after a reverse bidding process.
Sanjeev Goenka's New Rising won the bid for the Pune franchisee while Intex won for Rajkot after a reverse bidding process was held in Delhi on December 8.

The new franchises have a minimum of Rs 40 crore and a maximum of Rs 66 crore to buy players.
