Why Neeraj Pandey had to apologize to media on Mahendra Singh Dhoni's behalf

New Delhi: India's limited-overs cricket captain MS Dhoni left the event of his biopic's trailer launch without interacting with the media.

Miffed with Mahi's exit, journalists questioned the director of the film Neeraj Pandey as to why he left without interacting with media.

"That`s not my call as you would understand and it`s not my place to answer on his behalf also. He is an individual who has his own choices. I don`t know what the reason is and you can`t ask this question to me because I am the wrong person," Pandey said.

"It should have been informed and I apologise on that behalf," he added.

Dhoni, who was embraced with a packed hall filled with his fans and media, answered some of the questions posed by his fans. But, before media could ask him any questions, he left the event.

"MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" also stars Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla, Rajesh Sharma and Kiara Advani. It is set to release on September 30.
