New Delhi: In an lively match, Zimbabwe beat minnows Scotland by 11 runs in Group B clash of the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers.

While chasing a challenging total of 147, Scotland managed to score 136, as they were bowled out with two more balls left in their innings.

Richie Berrington's 36-run knock and skipper Preston Mommsen's 31 off 27 gave Scotland some hope in middle of their chase but eventually Zimbabwean bowlers defended the total successfully.

Earlier, Zimbabwe had won the toss and decided to bat first.

Sean Williams' quick-fire 53 off 36 balls, laced with six boundaries at the top and Elton Chigumbura' cameo of 20 in the death overs, helped Zimbabwe put up a respectable total on the board.

Highlighter of the match was certainly Williams' outstanding knock.

Zimbabwe now have four points in their kitty with two consecutive wins.
