New Delhi: MS Dhoni-led Indian cricket team will host Sri Lanka in a three-match series starting from February 9 ahead of Asia Cup and ICC World T20.

According to a report in ESPN cricinfo, the tour will begin in Pune, post which the teams will head to Delhi to play the second match on February 12 and the final game will take place in Visakhapatnam on February 14.

The two countries last played in an T20 international in ICC World T20 final in 2014, which was won by Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, which acquired Test status in November 2015, will host its third international match and only its second T20I.

The teams will then head for the Asia Cup starting February 24 in Bangladesh, before the World T20 starts March 9.

India are currently in Australia for a five-match ODI series followed by three T20 internatinal matches.
