India vs Sri Lanka 2016: Three-match series would be perfect preparation for ICC World T20

New Delhi: After decimating Australia 3-0 in the T20I series, MS Dhoni-led India would be high on confidence as they take on Sri Lanka for another three-match series.

Down Under, even though Indian batsmen performed brilliantly, Australia's spin attack wasn't an effective one and the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Lyon failed to trouble the Indian batsmen.

However, against Sri Lanka, Indian batsmen will get a chance to play quality spin bowling, as it has been one of the strengths of the Sri Lankan team over the years.

Ajantha Mendis, Rangna Herath in all likelihood will a part of Sri Lanka's playing XI and considering that the ICC World Twenty20 will be played in India from March-April, it is an excellent opportunity for both the teams to test their skills ahead of the prestigious event.

The three-match series is scheduled to be played from February 9.
