Rajkot: All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will play no part in Gujarat Lions' match against Mumbai Indians on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium.
No, Jaddu isn't injured or unwell. In fact. the Saurashtra cricketer is all set to tie the nuptial knot with fiancée Riva Solanki on Sunday.
"Ravindra Jadeja is not going to play today's match and has not come to Mumbai with the team as he is getting married tomorrow," sources in Gujarat Lions team said.
"It is also not sure whether he would be available for game against Sunrisers Hyderabad to be played on April 21," sources said adding that the game is to be played in Rajkot and therefore there are still chances of Jadeja playing in that match.
The new entrant in the ninth edition of IPL has so far played well, registering two wins in two matches.
Jadeja, one of the team's key player, played well in the game against Rising Pune Supergiants where he took two wickets and conceded only 18 runs in his four-over spell.
Sources also said that Gujarat Lions team members are expected to attend the wedding reception on Sunday evening.
