Durban: As South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis bid adieu to Test cricket in style in with a classic century, tributes poured in on Twitter. Kallis has surpassed Rahul Dravid as the third highest run-getter in Test cricket after a 115-run knock against India in his last Test. He now has 13,289 runs in the longest format, one run more than Dravid.
Kallis, who is playing in his 166th Test, is now third behind Sachin Tendulkar (15,921) and Ricky Ponting (13,378) in the all-time highest list. New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor was highly inspired by Kallis` stellar innings. He tweeted, Former England captain Michael Vaughan hailed him as a legend and mentioned, Australian fast-bowler Shaun Tait expressed, Earlier, when the Indian cricket team, gave the guard of honour to the legend, AB de Villiers, South Africa`s ODI and T20 captain praised Dhoni`s sportsmanship and tweeted, Proteas Test captain Graeme Smith wished that they give him the best farewell. Kallis` team mate, JP Duminy cheished the moments spent with him in the dressing room.
