New Delhi: International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Narayanaswami Srinivasan will contest for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s president post this year as well. As per the rotation policy of the board, currently it's East Zone's turn to nominate their representative for BCCI president.

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is likely to nominate N Srinivasan. Saurav Ganguly, who was elected as Joint Secretary of CAB, is also considered to be in the Srinivasan-team.

With Justice Mudgal Committee yet to submit report to Supreme Court regarding their findings on IPL match fixing, sources close to Srinivasan have confirmed that BCCI will not call Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the board elections originally scheduled for the last week of September 2014.

Mudgal Committee will seek extension of 3-4 weeks from Honourable Supreme Court in next two days because of the on-going cricket series in England. Committee members will wait till Indian cricket team returns from England.

Thus, it is effectively learnt that the BCCI elections and AGM are all set to be postponed by at least 15-20 days.
