Pellegrini named Premier League`s manager of month

London: Manchester City`s Manuel Pellegrini has been named Premier League manager of the month for December.

Pellegrini`s side, who are currently one point behind leaders Arsenal, didn`t lose a single match in December, taking six wins and a draw, reports a leading agency. It is the first time the 60-year-old has won the award after joining City last summer. Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was named the player of the month. The 26-year-old scored 10 goals last month, including four in the 5-1 thrashing of Norwich City.
