FIFA change Uganda-Togo 2018 World Cup qualifying ties
FIFA has rescheduled the dates of the 2018 World CUP first round qualifying matches between Uganda and Togo.
Kampala: The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has rescheduled the dates of the 2018 World CUP first round qualifying matches between Uganda and Togo.
Ahmed Hussein, the Uganda Football Association spokesperson, said on Thursday that they received communication from FIFA confirming new dates as November 12 in Lome, Togo, before the return leg on November 15 in Uganda, reports Xinhua.
The games were originally meant to take place on November 11 and the return leg on November 14.
Uganda has never qualified for the World Cup but was last at the Africa Cup of Nations in 1978 when they lost to hosts Ghana in the final.
Other fixtures in the Council for East and Central African Football region are Tanzania vs Algeria, Kenya vs Cape Verde Islands, Libya vs Rwanda, Burundi vs the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan vs Zambia, and Ethiopia vs Congo Brazzaville.
