Kalou earns Chelsea a replay in 1-1 Cup draw at Everton

London: Holders Chelsea needed a late equaliser by Salomon Kalou to snatch a 1-1 draw that kept them in the FA Cup after a Louis Saha header had put Everton on course for a fourth-round upset at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Everton, who have won one and drawn four of the teams` last five Premier League meetings but did lose to the Londoners in the 2009 final, looked far more interested and only good goalkeeping by Petr Cech prevented them adding to Saha`s 62nd-minute goal.Chelsea looked flat throughout but, after Kalou came off the bench to finish off a swift counter-attack 15 minutes from time they remain in the hunt to become the first team to win the Cup three times in a row since Blackburn Rovers in 1884-86.The match was one of five all-Premier League ties over the weekend, while 11-times winners Manchester United play at Southampton later on Saturday.
