Salgaocar rope in Timothy as coach

Panaji, July 01: Salgaocar have roped in Timothy Hankinson for the coming season as their new coach, said club secretary RAJ Gomes.

The former Colorado Rapids coach Hankinson will arrive in Goa on July 15 and will join the team for pre-seasoning training. Hankinson has the distinction of training Colombian legend Carlos Valderrama, American star Landon Donovan and World Cupper John Spencer and his rich experience should do us good, said Gomes. They have also signed in Brazilian midfielder Alexandro D`silva to complete their foreign quota. Nigerian striker Chigbo Offor and Sporting Clube Goa`s defender Luciano Sobrosa are the other two foreign players. Earlier, they had signed Churchill Brothers midfielder Chandam Chitra Singh and Mohammedan Sporting`s right back Gurpreet Singh. Bureau Report
