London: No.6 seed roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka were knocked out of men`s doubles event by Andy Ram and Jonathan Erlich 1 - 6 | 7 - 6 | 6 - 3 in men's doubles event of the London OLympics. "I thought we played an excellent first set. Conditions were tough. They were breezy, a lot of shadow on the courts. But that didn't disrupt our great playing," said Federer, who is still in contention for a medal in singles. "It was a pity we couldn't create a few more, maybe, opportunities throughout the second set. But obviously they found a bit of a way to get back into the match," he said. "They definitely played better once sort of the shadow went, all the flags, all the spectator shadows were gone. It was more clean tennis." The Switzerland pair of Federer and Wawrinka started really well taking the first set 6-1 in just 28 minutes. After the first set it seemed like they would sail demolish the opponents but the Israel par came back really strong to win the second set in a tie-breaker. Once they make it 1-1, they looked to be in great touch in the last set which they won by 6-3.
