27 Haryana sportspersons awarded
Haryana Government today honoured 27 sportspersons of the state with various award, including Bhim award to six, with cash prize of Rs 31.42 lakh.

honoured 27 sportspersons of the state with various award,
including Bhim award to six, with cash prize of Rs 31.42 lakh
for their outstanding performances during various national and
international events.
The Bhim Awards were given to Vivek Singh of Gurgaon for
Shooting, Saroj Sihag of Hissar for Athletics, Amit Kumar of
Rohtak district for Wrestling, Sunil Kumar of Bhiwani for
Boxing, Virender Singh of Rohtak for Judo and Sukhbir Singh
of Bhiwani for Paralympics National Swimming by Governor Jagan
Nath Pahadia here today.
The Bhim Award consists of a Cash Award of Rs. 1 lakh,
Bhim Pratima, A Scroll, Blazer and Tie/ Scarf.
Other 21 sportspersons, including three women, who were
honoured with cash awards included Sukhbir Singh and Vikas
Kumar (Bhiwani), Suresh Kumar (Hissar), Naveen Kumar (Rohtak)
for Kabbadi, Kumari Babita and Sunil (Bhiwani) for Wrestling
and Boxing respectively, Sunita and Parmila (Rohtak) for
Kabbadi, Suresh Kumar (Panipat) and Sudesh Kumari (Jind) for
Wrestling.
The others honoured were Vijender Singh (Bhiwani) for
Boxing, Sandeep (Sonipat) and Paramjeet (Bhiwani) for
Wrestling, Manjeet Singh (Bhiwani) for Boxing, Hardeep Singh
and Krishna Punia (Hissar) for Judo and athletics
respectively, Neha Rathi (Faridabad) for Wrestling, Jitender
Kumar (Bhiwani) for Boxing, Pooja Dhanda (Hissar) for Judo,
Dilbagh Singh (Bhiwani) and Manoj Kumar (Kaithal) for Boxing.
