Govt hikes paddy MSP by Rs 80/quintal, pulses by up to Rs 400/quintal
The government has approved Rs 80 per quintal hike in paddy MSP, while support price of pulses has been raised by up to Rs 400 per quintal to encourage farmers increase area sown under Kharif crops this season.

According to sources, the Agriculture Ministry proposed an increase in the paddy MSP by Rs 50 to Rs 1,360 a quintal for the common variety and a raise of Rs 55 to Rs 1,400 a quintal for the 'grade A' variety for the current crop year.
