India to have 600 mn broadband connections by 2020: Minister
There were 422.19 million broadband subscribers and the internet penetration (internet subscriber per 100 populations) was 32.86 per cent in the country as on March 31, 2017, Communications Minister Manoj Sinha informed Parliament on Friday.

Demonetisation: No mobile banking charges till December 31
Aiming to help the common people who are coping with cash crunch following demonetisation, the telecom operators have decided to waive off charges for mobile banking services till December 31, 2016, Communications Minister Manoj Sinha said on Tuesday.

The Bharatiya Postal Employees Federation (BPEF) on Saturday accused the Kolkata General Post Office (GPO) administration of covering up a fake cheques scam amounting in excess of Rs.1 crore, and demanded a CBI probe into it.
