Competition Commission of India approves Google-Bharti Airtel deal

The deal has been cleared on the basis of modifications offered by the acquirer. Google International LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Google LLC. Google is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.

Google to invest $1 billion in Airtel; pick up 1.28% stake for $700 million

Out of the total investment, USD 300 million will go towards implementing commercial agreements. Google CEO Sundar Pichai had announced a USD 10-billion Google for India Digitization Fund in July 2020. Bharti Airtel board has approved the issuance of up to 71,176,839 equity shares to Google International LLC.
