Google aims at empowering women in India; unveils USD 25 million in grants

Google’s boss Sundar Pichai had given a grant of USD 25 million to nonprofits and social enterprises working on empowering girls and women. Google.org`s new Impact Challenge, a philanthropic initiative was unveiled on International Women's Day by Pichai. The company said it will accept applications from teams worldwide until April 9.

Google.Org offers $3 mn in grants to 2 Indian non-profit organisations

These grants are part of Google's global commitment of USD 50 million, being used to help these organisations scale existing initiatives and fund content creation and teacher training through tech-based learning solutions.
