India vs England: Virat Kohli's boys get ready to bounce back in 2nd Test

Team India will take on England in the second of the four Tests getting underway at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai from Saturday (February 13). The hosts lost the first Test by 227 runs to go 1-0 down in the series. England got their four-Test series to the best possible start with a 227-run win in the first Test against India in Chennai. James Anderson started the rot with two wickets -- Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane -- in the 27th over while left-arm spinner Jack Leach picked up four wickets in the innings to bundle out India for 192 after setting them 420 to win in the fourth innings. Indian skipper Virat Kohli was the top-scorer for the hosts with 72 while Gill chipped in with 50. Here we bring a collection of pictures which sum up the final day.

In Pics: Joe Root celebrates 100th Test with ton, puts England on top

England skipper Joe Root became only the 10th batsman to score a century in his 100th Test match as his unbeaten 128 put the visitors in strong position at 263/3 against India after Day One of the first Test in Chennai on Friday. Root put on 200 runs for the third wicket with opener Dominic Sibley, who was dismissed in the final over of day's play for 87. Jasprit Bumrah, playing his first Test at home after 17 Tests, picked up two wickets including that of Sibley to give some cheer to India.
