China world's worst abuser of internet freedom, India better than Pakistan
Increased surveillance on China's social media app WeChat contributed to country faring worst yet again. India loses points for people being detained for online comments on religious or political issues - according to the study. Pakistan fares only marginally better than Saudi Arabia in internet freedom for its citizens.

Internet freedom on the decline in India offsetting gains made in 2014 and 2015: Report
Although India overtook the US to become the worlds second largest internet consumer base behind China last year, internet freedom declined slightly in the country, offsetting gains made in 2014 and 2015, a report revealed on Monday.
