Govt hikes paddy MSP by Rs 80/quintal, pulses by up to Rs 400/quintal

The government has approved Rs 80 per quintal hike in paddy MSP, while support price of pulses has been raised by up to Rs 400 per quintal to encourage farmers increase area sown under Kharif crops this season.

Govt okays kharif MSP; decision secret amid farmers protest

The government on Wednesday approved higher support price of 14 kharif crops including paddy and pulses in a bid to provide comfort to farmers who begin sowing in full swing from next month.
