National War Memorial’s 2nd anniversary: Everything about the monument

Situated in the heart of the national capital, National War Memorial celebrated its two-year-anniversary today (February 25, 2021). The memorial, commemorating the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers, is spread across 40 acres in the india Gate complex.

Names of 20 Galwan Martyrs to be inscribed on national war memorial

The Galwan Valley clash had escalated the border row in eastern Ladakh and resulted in a large deployment of troops and heavy weaponry by both the armies at the friction points. The Indian Army has already built a memorial for the 'Gallants of Galwan' at Post 120 in eastern Ladakh. Some of these soldiers are also likely to be honoured with gallantry awards on the Republic Day.
