Samsung acquires German OLED display startup Cynora: Report

Samsung Display has acquired German display startup Cynora GmbH for about $300 million to advance technology. Samsung will dominate the market with a 75 percent market share until 2023. Samsung Display could not be reached for a comment on the deal.

After LG, Samsung could soon launch rollable QD-OLED TV

Samsung Display`s first commercial version of the QD-OLED panel has a glass substrate for TFT. It has another glass substrate for QD color conversion layer. Samsung Display's new project is aiming to remove the QD colour conversion layer glass substrate at the top.

Samsung Display says to build $1 billion Vietnam plant

A subsidiary of South Korea`s Samsung Electronics Co Ltd said on Thursday it received approval to build a USD 1 billion display module assembly plant in Vietnam, its first production facility in the country.
