SBI account holders can now open FD account online via net banking

Investors can also avail of tax benefits against their investments in FD schemes under Section 80C of the income tax act. Investors can also get tax benefits with other fixed deposit schemes of longer maturity periods.

SBI fixed deposit customers, alert! Bank has increased FD rates

SBI pointed out that the revised rates will be applicable on fixed deposits for tenures of more than 2 years. The lender noted that the revised rates are applicable on FDs worth less than Rs 2 crore. SBI will offer an interest rate of 5.20% on FDs maturing in 2-3 years.

SBI cuts interest on fixed deposit on select tenors –Check out latest FD rates

The new rates of interest are effective from September 10. It shall be made applicable to fresh deposits and renewals of maturing deposits. Revision in Interest Rates On Retail Domestic term deposits are for below Rs. 2 crore.
