Stephanie Frappart becomes 1st woman to referee in men's Champions League tie

The 36-year-old achieved the feat during Juventus' comfortable 3-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv at the Allianz Stadium on Thursday. Last year, Stephanie Frappart had become first female referee to officiate a major men's European match during a Liverpool vs Chelsea tie in the UEFA Super Cup final. Frappart had also become the first female serve as a referee of a French Ligue 1 clash when Amiens locked horns with Strasbourg in April 2019.

Stephanie Frappart to become first female referee to officiate UEFA Super Cup

Frappart, 35, was the first female referee to officiate a French Ligue 1 match when she took charge of Amiens against Strasbourg in April and also became the first woman to be named in the pool of Ligue 1 referees for next season.
