Rajinikanth's Kaala: Check out the super energetic Semma Weightu track

Mumbai: Here's a musical treat for fans of Rajinikanth. Tamil superstar Dhanush took to Twitter Tuesday night to unveil the first single from the megastar's upcoming film Kaala. 

Titled Semma Weightu, the song has been sung and composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Hariharasudhan too has lent his voice to the song.

The lyrics and rap verses are by Arunraja Kamaraj, Dopeadelicz and Logan.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film also stars Nana Patekar, Eswari Rao, Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, Sampath Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Manikandan, Dhileepan, Pankaj Tripathi, Ravi Kale, Ramesh Thilak, Arul Doss, Aravind Akash, Sakshi Agarwal, Arundhati, Suganya and Nithish.

Kaala is one of Thalaivar's biggest projects.

Made under the banner of Wunderbar Films, the film has been jointly produced by Dhanush Proudly Presents and Lyca Productions.

Like Kabali, Kaala will be a gangster drama and one can expect loads of action sequences a la Rajinikanth style. The much-awaited film is expected to release on June 7.

Besides Kaala, Rajinikanth has another big release 2.0 which happens to be a sequel to his sci-fi film Enthiran. The film directed by Shankar has Akshay Kumar on board a Tamil project for the first time. And if the reports are anything to go by, Akki will play the antagonist in the film. The release date of the film hasn't been announced yet but it would be interesting to see Amy Jackson opposite Rajini. The first franchise of the film had former Miss World Aishwarya Rai as the leading lady.
