A 27-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her estranged husband after a heated argument at Mansurpur village in the district on Thursday, an official said.

Muzaffarnagar: A 27-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her estranged husband after a heated argument at Mansurpur village in the district on Thursday, an official said.

Circle officer Rajiv Kumar said police have registered a case against the ex-husband Samer Khan and his two brothers Aseem and Nadeem, adding that Samer has been arrested.

The body of the victim Irma has been sent for post-mortem, he said.

Her brother alleged in his complaint to police that she was being harassed for dowry.

According to locals, the woman had divorced the husband two months ago and was living in her parent's house.

She was allegedly killed in her in-laws house where she had come to meet her children.
