Simon Cowell to launch global talent hunt

London: ‘The X Factor’ boss Simon Cowell is planning to launch a global talent contest on the web.

The 53-year-old is in talks with YouTube to create a specific channel where anyone can upload a video sharing their talent. Cowell, who has judged US reality shows ‘American Idol’ and Britain`s show ‘Britain Got Talent’, will launch the new show titled ‘The You Generation’, expected to go online this month, reports dailystar.co.uk. After the video is uploaded, members of the public and chiefs at Cowell`s production company Syco Entertainment, can vote for their favourite contestant. A winner will be unveiled every two weeks for a year. IANS
