Dense fog engulfs Delhi-NCR, train services affected as visibility drops

NEW DELHI: A dense layer of fog engulfed the national capital and its neighbourhood regions - Noida and Gurgaon - on Wednesday morning. The visibility dropped to below 50 metres affecting train and flight services.
Nearly 21 trains were running late while four were rescheduled and 13 cancelled due to low visibility and operational reasons.
Severe cold conditions are expected to continue over the next few days, said the Indian Metereological Department.
Several trains were delayed, cancelled or rescheduled due to low visibility.
The Air Quality continued to be poor in several places across the national capital.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 25 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 25.5 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average.
