Screen mother Achala Sachdev passes away

Mumbai: Bollywood veteran Achala Sachdev passed away earlier today. She was being treated at the Poona Hospital and Research Centre for multiple ailments and had been ailing for over six months. The 88-year-old actor was last seen in the Hrithik Roshan-Esha Deol starrer ‘Na Tum Jaano Na Hum’. According to reports, the octogenarian was admitted to the hospital last year, around September, after she fell in her house and broke her leg. Post which, a clot was diagnosed in the artery near her heart through an MRI scan, which eventually broke into small clots and made a place in her brain vessels. Neglected by the Bollywood fraternity, Achala Sachdev of `Ae Meri Zohra Jabeen` song fame breathed her last today in a Pune hospital. Indeed a sad death as none from the Tinsel Town was present when she bid us all adieu… Zee News offers condolence…may her soul rest in peace.
