BIG Home Video releases DVD of latest Indiana Jones movie

Mumbai, Nov 15: The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group-promoted BIG Home Video has released the DVD of the latest Indiana Jones series movie, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull", in India.

BIG Home Video has a partnership agreement with Hollywood`s Paramount Home Entertainment Global, the producer of the movie. The movie was released Friday in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, a company statement said. BIG Home Video has tied up with entertainment chain Planet M to market the DVDs. As per the marketing strategy, the early buyers of the DVDs and VCDs of the Indiana Jones movie will get early bird prizes, besides an opportunity to take part in a consumer contest to win exclusive Indiana Jones premiums. In select outlets, consumers can get themselves photographed, dressed up as Indiana Jones, wearing the movie character`s signature fedora hat, rugged jacket and hand-bag. "In order to reach out to the urban youth, we have also launched an exclusive social media marketing campaign on the Internet for the first time," BIG Music and Home Video chief executive Kulmeet Makkar said in the statement. The DVD has been released as a 2-Disc special collector`s edition and also in single disc format. The movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, stars Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett. IANS
