Lucy Lawless hopes to return to 'Parks and Recreation'

Los Angeles: Actress Lucy Lawless has expressed hopes of returning to 'Parks and Recreation' for its final season.

'Parks and Recreation' will return for 13 final episodes in the mid-season to bring the story of Pawnee politician Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) to a close, reportedly.

Lawless has made several guest appearances in the NBC sitcom as Ron Swanson's (Nick Offerman) newest wife Diane Lewis.

When asked if she will appear in 'Parks and Recreation's final run, the 46-year-old actress said, "Oh, I hope so. I hope so. "I loved that very much. It's a very special world, and I was very honoured to be part of it. And Nick Offerman, what a prince of a man! All of them. Amy Poehler is one of the greatest producer/actor/writers there is. She's the one that sets the tone for everyone else," she added.

'Parks and Recreation' is expected to return in early 2015.
