Therefore, you should completely avoid scratching. Here are some brilliant home remedies for an itchy scalp.
Lemon juice
Lemon juice is an excellent remedy for treating an itchy and dry scalp dute to the presence of its antiseptic properties. It also helps in treating dandruff.
Apply fresh lemon juice onto your scalp. Leave it on for five minutes and then wash your hair with shampoo. You can also dilute the lemon juice with water if you do not have dandruff. Regular use of this remedy can be helpful.
Tea tree oil
Add 2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil to a tablespoon of vegetable oil, and massage the mixture on your scalp. Regularly use of this remedy for 1-2 weeks will help heal an itchy, dry scalp.
Coconut oil
Apply a little coconut oil onto the scalp properly. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes before washing off with a perfume-free shampoo.
Aloe vera
Using your fingers, apply some fresh aloe vera gel onto your scalp. Let it sit on for 10-15 minutes. Wash off using a mild shampoo.
Sesame seed oil
Heat up a few drops of sesame seed oil. Apply this warm oil onto your scalp. Gently massage the scalp for about 10 minutes. Wrap your head in a hot towel and leave for 10 minutes before taking it off, leaving the oil to stay on your hair overnight. Wash it off in the morning using a shampoo.
