New Delhi: Everyone loves to have healthy and shiny hair. But sometimes we often tend to neglect our hair health and it gets damaged due to several lifestyle factors and mainly because of the unhealthy eating habits.

One should eat more of fresh fruits and veggies as they are not only make up of nutritional diet but good for your skin and hair as well. Besides eating a healthy diet, one can also opt for home remedies to have a smooth and shiny hair.

Here are some simple home remedies to have healthy and shiny hair:

Avocado

Avocados can strengthen the hair and repair the damaged hair, as they are rich in Vitamin B and Vitamin E. They not only strengthen your hair, but also moisturise your hair. Take one avocado and mash it with egg yolk. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for 20 minutes before you wash it off.

Banana

Bananas contains rich source of potassium and vitamin A that are known to be extremely good for hair strengthening and smoothing. Mix one mashed banana with one tablespoon honey and apply this mask on your hair roots for 15 to 20 minutes and wash it thoroughly with a mild shampoo.

Carrot

Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A which promotes a healthy scalp along with good vision. Extract some carrot juice with the help of a juicer and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Apply it directly to your hair to prevent hair loss.

Coconut milk

Coconut milk is also good for strengthening the hair roots like its oil. Take some coconut and mixed it with honey together. Now, apply the paste on damp hair and massage it into your scalp. Leave it on for one hour and wash it properly with a mild shampoo.

Onions

Onions reverse the hair loss and open the hair follicles. The thinning of hair, caused due to fungal and bacterial infection can also be avoided. Extract the onion juice and apply it on your hair follicles. Wash it properly after 20 minutes, because the smell of onion might stay.
