Goan swimmer Talasha Prabhu gets nod for Vietnam games
Goa`s talented swimmer Talasha Prabhu has earned herself a berth in the Indian aquatic team that will participate in the first Indoor Asian Games to be held at Saigon in Vietnam.

Panaji: Goa`s talented swimmer Talasha Prabhu has earned herself a berth in the Indian aquatic team
that will participate in the first Indoor Asian Games to be
held at Saigon in Vietnam.
Talasha, who turned 16 in May, had already represented
India at FINA World Championship in Rome, Asian Youth Games in
Singapore and Asian Age Group Championship in Tokyo during
the year.
Talasha is the lone Goan in the team that consists of 7
boys and 7 girls. The team will leave for Vietnam tomorrow
from Bangalore where the players are undergoing the
conditioning camp.
The competitions will be held between November 3 and 8.
Digamber Kamat, Chief Minister of Goa, who is also
President of Swimming Federation Of India has congratulated
Talasha for her outstanding achievement that has brought
glory to Goa, a press release issued here said.
